Ice Cream Job Chart

I have a job chart in my room and the students change jobs each week.  Not all my students have a job, but about half my class does.  They get their new jobs on Monday and it lasts the whole week. Next Monday, the students change jobs.
Last year I made apples with the job listed on them and the leaves had the student names on them and I moved the leaves each week.
I just finished making my job chart for the school year and thought I would share it with you all!  I like to change it up each year, and this yeat I decided to make my job chart Ice cream themed.

You can pick this up for free and print it out, copy the cones onto brown construction paper and the ice cream scoops onto colored paper of your choice.  Then add your students names to the scoops.
If the job is for 1 student, only put 1 scoop on top of the cone.  If the job required more than 1 student, you can stack the scoops (like in the picture) to let the student's know what their job is.

Minions!!!

I made these precious minions last year for outside my door and all my students had one with their name on it!  They were so excited to take them home and some students still have them.  With the Minion movie coming out and still being a fan of Despicable Me, I wanted to make these available for your back to school bulliten boards.  Some teachers have made them themselves and some teachers have had their students make them and put them together.  They are very easy to put together and turn out very cute!
Just copy onto blue, white, and yellow paper and cut and glue together!  I made 26 last year for my class, and it took me less than a hour to put them together!
This is what my wall looked like outside my room last year!
and these are all the pieces that you need to put the minion together!

ENJOY!

I've been "Croc-ed"

My school mascot is the croc and the fun committee decided to "croc" people this year for doing normal things that do not get the thanks they deserve.  We are trying to make it so that everyone in the school gets croc-ed before the year is over.  This is the Croc that I created to be passed around the school.

I was croc-ed last week with this on my door! It put a smile on my face when I saw it and I was excited to pass it along to another teacher in the building.

stapler

I was very excited when I found this stapler at Best Buy.  It comes apart and allows you to staple the middle of books and papers.  It was only $5 and a nifty little gadget!

I have used it to staple regular papers as well as taking it apart to staple the center of papers and it is awesome!

Schedule Cards

I love making things for my classroom.  These are schedule cards that my students MAKE SURE I always update them.  My students use out schedule cards to keep track of what we have done and what we still have left to do for the day.  If I forget to update them, they will let me know.  These also help me to know where my students need to go for Specials that day and what my schedule will be like when my students come in.

Blue Dot Theme

I created a classroom theme pack for easy classroom set up at the beginning of the year.  It is simple but cute, and can go along with other themes if you already have one.
This theme includes: Alphabet letters, Numbers to 20, word wall words and headers, calendar cards, months of the year headers, days of the week, teacher binder forms, supply labels, thank you cards, name tags, "this belongs to" labels, schedule cards, binder covers and spines, blank cards, to do list, and organization labels.

Positive Notes

Every Friday I like to give positive notes to students in my classroom who have had a great week.  Maybe they were especially kind to others, or are always a great friend and makes others feel included.  Maybe they did a great job reading with me or finally understood a concept that I have been teaching that they have been working hard at.  Whatever the case, my students LOVE getting a not on Friday to take home and share with their family.  I was buying blank note cards all the time and so I finally decided to just make my own to send home with my students.
I stick the notes in my students mail boxes so that not everyone knows.  I also decorate it with stickers and their name so they know it is a positive note.

Minions!

This year in my classroom I created minions for my welcome wall and I got a lot of compliments on them.  They turned out really cute and were very easy to make 24 of.
I put them together one day before school started and then just added the students names once I found out my class list.
Just cut and glue them together. It took no time at all to make 24 of them!  Below is what they looked like all together.  So cute.  My first graders loved them and were so excited when they got to take them home.

Apple Job Chart

This my job chart that I created this year for my students.  The Apple has the job title on it which I wrote with marker and the leaves have the student names on them that I rotate through each job throughout the year.

In my classroom this year, I have 15 students with a job each week.  My jobs are: Line leader, Floor Cleaners, Table Cleaners, Door Holder, Lights, Clean Up Crew, Hand Sanitizer Helper, Library Helpers, Manager, and Caboose. Some jobs have more than 1 student and the students keep their job for 1 week and then it changes every Monday.   My students take their jobs very serious and they are responsible for their job.

Organization

These are labels that I use in the classroom to stay organized with my activities that I have planned.  I stick them on my bins and when I am planning for the month, I use them to sort my activities and worksheets that I will be using with my students.

There are 8 labels: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Grade, Copy, and File.  Enjoy them for free at my store.
