Wax Museum

Each year for Authors and Artists Day, we have a Wax Museum with the students.  They study famous Americans (MLK, Abe Lincoln, George Washington, George Washington Carver, Ben Franklin, and Eleanor Roosevelt) and once they do their research, they learn all about them and become one of them for the wax museum.

These were my Abe Lincoln's from this year.  They are so cute and the parents are so impressed by what the students learn about them.

Also in honor of Abe Lincoln, I like to put this on my wall and the students stand next to him to see how tall he was and how tall they are.
We also read Abe Lincoln's Hat and the students had to write what they would keep in their hat if they had one like Abe.
